Leather, textile waste can be natural cotton, animal fur, silk, linen, etc., or polyester, cotton, acrylic and other chemical fiber products or artificial leather. Regardless of whether it is a natural product or a chemical product, the processing process mainly includes the following three types:
- Recycling processing: after sorting, crushing and other technical treatments. Sent to specialized factories, leather and fabric waste can be processed into vegetable greenhouse insulation quilts, tree insulation blankets, roadbed cloth, car interior decoration, sound insulation cotton, etc.
- Incineration treatment: The leather waste can be used as RDF fuel after crushing, and can even be further extruded into fuel rods with high calorific value. In addition, there are a lot of old clothes and other leather waste mixed in domestic waste, which can be made into RDF together with plastic, paper and other materials after being crushed and sorted, or directly crushed and incinerated.
- Pyrolysis treatment: The main component of leather and fabric waste is organic matter, so pyrolysis technology can be used to obtain useful substances such as combustible gases and liquids to achieve the purpose of reduction and harmlessness. However, whether it is distillation, low-temperature pyrolysis, medium-temperature pyrolysis or high-temperature pyrolysis, the material is required to reach a certain particle size to facilitate feeding and ensure the smooth and full progress of the pyrolysis process.
